A trilogy of chronographs with more compact dimensions in titanium cases and the spectacle of spinning blades on the dial.
Perrelet’s flagship Turbine, with its mesmerising 12-blade turbine spinning to reveal glimpses of the lower dial, returns with a sporty chronograph complication. Bold and contemporary, the new generation of Turbine Chrono Neo in lightweight titanium cases relies on an elegant, highly legible display of elapsed times using two central chronograph hands.
The three new Turbine Chrono Neo models have more compact diameters than their predecessors (47mm), measuring 42mm across, coupled with a thickness of 16.34mm. Predominantly brushed, the grade 2 titanium case has polished bevels to highlight its powerful angular architecture and the wide notches on the case middle. The black DLC-coated titanium bezel features a sporty tachymeter scale, and the large, easy-to-activate rectangular chronograph pushers, at 2 and 4 o’clock, have wide, flat surfaces. The black DLC fluted crown with a laser-engraved ‘P’ screws down to ensure the 50m water-resistance of the case.
The highlight of all Turbine models is the rotation of the twelve blades on the dial. Responding to the slightest movement of the wrist, the black anodised aluminium propellers reveal the decoration of the lower dial. Three different colours – electric blue, grass green and light grey – have been applied to the lower dial and the faster the rotation, the greater the visibility of the colours.
With no sub-dials to display the elapsed times, Perrelet’s chronograph indicates the 60-second and 60-minute chronograph times with two central hands. Picked out in the same colour as the lower dial (except for the grey model with red-tipped hands), the arrow-tipped luminescent hand indicates the chronograph minutes, while the longer hand with its coloured tip indicates the seconds. The prominent Arabic hour numerals and markers are applied to a wide chapter ring and treated with Super-LumiNova matching the inserts on the hour, minute and chronograph minutes hands. Surprising for a watch with so much action on the dial, there is a date window at 6 o’clock.
The chronograph comes with a 5-row titanium bracelet with polished and brushed links and a butterfly clasp. Fitted with a new user-friendly quick-release system (no tools necessary), the bracelet can be switched for the rubber strap provided in the package.
Powered by the P-361 calibre (Soprod version of the ETA 2892 base), this automatic movement beats at 4Hz, delivers a power reserve of 42 hours, and has an Incabloc anti-shock system. The Turbine Chrono Neo will be available from September 2025 at official Perrelet retailers and the brand’s online platform. The watch retails for CHF 5,900 / USD 6,250.
