To me, Casio G-Shock creativity, which is constantly evolving, is every bit as exciting as Swiss watchmaking craftsmanship. Casio G-Shock has managed not only to keep the same idea relevant, but created a legion of fanatical followers who pounce on every new G-Shock their budget can allow. And why not.

Frankly, G-Shock stockpiling is not a habit understood or appreciated by many wives or girlfriends. Not when the money could be spent on something much more exciting such as shoes or make up – or something altogether more boring such as the electricity bill. But the lure of a funky new shade of Mudman can often prove too much.

The new G-Shock Mudman Twin Sensor in a tan colour is a case in point. It presses all the right buttons for a G-Shock fan, and there are many buttons to press.

Major must have factors for this new Mudman are the colour, a rich muddy brown, breaking away from trusted but functional black or white or overly eye catching reds and yellows. Then there’s the appeal of time signals: The watch receives time calibration radio signals which keep the displayed time accurate through the Auto receive function (up to 6 times per day) whether you’re in China (ok only 5 times a day in China but you’re still bang on time), Japan, Europe or the USA.



Also, this Mudman is solar powered, it receives thermal and electrical energy through solar panels on the face of the watch. The compass measures and displays direction at 16 points. Some people who wear Mudman’s do actually go mountain biking or cross country running and need to find their bearings, but it’s nice to know you’ve got a compass even if you’re just climbing the stairs of your apartment block for exercise.

Let’s not overlook the thermometer and world time in 31 cities – (Patek Philippe would be charging you thousands for the privilege of such a complication) lots of alarms, the usual stopwatch, and pre-programmed calendar up to 2099 by which time you will have forgotten all about this new G-Shock in its eye catching tan tones. And for good measure it’s water resistant to 200 metres.

Hujiyama 2005, who is selling these babies on the bay, keeps racking up the price, in fact in theory it would be cheaper to go into the store and buy one, but forget it. This model is from Japan, you’ll trek to the mall and then the salesman is going to sidetrack you into something else and because you’re a G-Shock junkie you might just get tempted, then you blow the money for this one on something inferior.



If you’re not willing to run to $428.00 there is a cheaper option, not as , but still ok. It’s the Casio Men G-Shock Mudman Sport Watch NWT G9000 G-9000-8V in grey. Of course it it does lots of trusty G-Shock stuff and keeps accurate time, but it’s not perfect time regularly updated by time signals. It’s currently on sale for around $90.00.

Having spotted it, now I‘ve got to find a way to sneak the new tan Twin Sensor into the collection.

Δηλαδή, σε ενα μηνα θα μου αρέσει γιατί θα μου έχει γίνει πλύση εγκεφάλου στο WUS...αλλά να θυμάστε την 1η μου εντύπωση: είναι αίσχος!!!

Ονομα και πραμα.
Και στο wus εχω παρα πολυ καιρο να μπω..
Παιδια ειναι γουστα αυτα.
Σε καποιον μπορει να αρεσει σε καποιον οχι.
Μην το ψαχνετε.
Εμενα γενικα μου αρεσει το καφε και το συγκεκριμενο ρολοι
εχει φοβερες λειτουργιες και λουρι απο ανθρακονημα.
Το θεωρω πολυ καλο πακετο γενικα και μαζι με το πρασινο Riseman
ειναι αυτα που ξεχωρισα απο τη νεα σειρα..
