Actus was a sub-brand of Seiko much like the Alpinist or the Prospex brands are today. It was made for JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) and mainly sold in the 70s. The Actus variant had a higher jewelled movement and was marketed as “young, activity line”, compared to the standard Seiko 5. It had all the Seiko 5 attributes of automatic, waterproof, day, date and shock resistance.
