Νικο αλλη μια ερωτηση εδω τι σημαινει στο καντραν '' Ranchero'' ? 30mm ??

Το Ranchero δεν νομίζω να σημαίνει κατι, είναι απλώς το όνομα του ρολογιού. Το 30mm αναφέρεται μάλλον στην στεγανότητα του ρολογιού ήτει ήταν αδιαβροχο στα 30m. Ενναλακτικά μπορεί να αναφέρεται στη διάμετρο της μηχανης.

δεν το είχα προσέξει, παρόλο που το ρολόι μου αρέσει πολύ σε εμφάνιση. Αν εννοεί υδατοστεγανότητα, έπρεπε να είναι 30m, οπότε, αν αυτό είναι ορθογραφικό λάθος, ίσως έχει μεγαλύτερη αξία το ρολόι, πιο πιθανό να είναι διάμετρος μηχανής, αλλά για πιο λόγο να το αναφέρουν ως χαρακτηριστικό στο καντράν? Καμιά ιδέα?

Σε ξένο forum βρήκα αυτό: "30mm seems to relate to the movement. The Ranchero was only around for a short time as the name translates to ranch hand or farmer in Spanish which wasn't too popular with the market the watch was aimed at."

που δίνει μια απάντηση και για το όνομα και αυτό:

Ξαναδιαβάζοντας την απάντηση, ίσως το 30mm είναι για να δηλώσει ότι το ρολόι έχει τη συγκεκριμένη μηχανή και όχι για να δηλώσει ότι η μηχανή που έχει είναι 30mm.

Ναι, αυτό γράφω και εγώ, έγραψα ότι η μηχανή ήταν 30mm και ήταν γνωστή με αυτό ως όνομα.

In 1958, Omega created a watch line it called Rancheros. It was inspired by the Railmaster, the Seamaster 300 and the arrowhead hand of the 1957 Speedmaster so there was no mistaking its lineage. The watch encountered resistance in Spanish-speaking countries from potential customers who were put off by its name that means “ranch hand” in Spanish. As a result, the Rancheros, were discontinued and are quite rare today. Ironically, this scarcity has led to high prices in the vintage watch market and the once modest Ranchero has become quite the collector’s item.

The name had a short revival in 1976 but only in Belgium. Omega’s general agent there had hoped that an entry level model would stimulate what he felt were sluggish sales of Seamasters. The revival was short lived and the Ranchero is destaned to be one of the most famous of the lost lines.

Τι εννοεις Κώστα, αν το πουλάει κανεις από Ελλάδα; Το έχω δει να το φοράει ένας στο Μοναστηράκι(με ασπρο καντραν μαλιστα) αλλά δεν το πουλούσε.
