G-Shock have enlisted the jungle’s toughest ape to help demonstrate just how strong their watches are. In the latest video series the G cast a gorilla to take on the urban jungle, as he dominates in sports including basketball and skateboarding. So far there are three hilarious episodes in the series so let’s hope for a few more – a gorilla on a surfboard would be a game changer!

The world’s premier flatland BMX competition, Flatark, went down in Kobe recently, with a little help from the G-Shock sporting division. In the final round Yohei Uchino came out on top of Matthias Dandois to take the top spot, all the while sporting his GD-X6900. Just watching the two-wheeled acrobatics makes us dizzy, but there’s no doubt that the G can stand up to the centrifugal forces and all round punishment. Congratulations to Yohei and everyone who took part in the event.
