The Classique Phase de Lune 8787 Enamel

The new 8787 Classic collection is of the same family of the 7787, 7788 and 8788. The 7XXX is of diameter 39mm while the 8XXX is of diameter 36mm, manufactured for the Ladies. Gentlemen, this could be an idea for your 'the Valentine gift'

The 8787 (in this post) is of 18K rose gold case diameter 36mm which will embrace most Ladies' wrists snugly. Another variation, the 8788 is with a pave diamond bezel for those who prefer the extra touch.

The dial is of grand feu enamelling and matched with beautiful blued Beguet-hands with moonphase and power reserve indicators.
Within the slender 10.20mm case, is fitted with extra-thin automatic Caliber 591 DRL with silicon escapement.

The 8787 is a elegant piece for the Ladies, a decent blend of form and function. The enamel dial with the blued hands is a good aesthetic combination while the movement fitted with silicon escapement is also done by few add a touch of novelty and sophistication too.

For gentlemen, if you like this dial configuration, a larger 39mm version with either enamel or guilloche dial is waiting for you too

Breguet Tradition 7047BR Tourbillon Debuts at Baselworld

At the 2012 Baselworld watch fair, Breguet has introduced the newest addition to its emblematic “Tradition” collection, the Breguet Tradition 7047BR Tourbillon Fusee in 18k rose gold. This Grande Complication timepiece, which features a tourbillon, fusee and chain transmission, and a Breguet balance spring in silicon, joins the existing models in yellow gold and platinum.

Inspired by the legendary souscription watches created by Abraham-Louis Breguet, the watch has a tourbillon and a fusee-and-chain transmission located on the upper part of the mainplate. This sculptural design of the dial highlights the contrast and relief effects of the various components. Breguet obtained four patents for the systems used in this watch.

In 2006, Breguet presented the first watches with silicon balance springs and escapements. The flat silicon balance springs, made using a raised terminal curve, also became known as a “Breguet overcoil.” The rose gold re-edition of the Tradition 7047PT also features a silicon Breguet balance spring, as well as a new black galvanic-coated and engine-turned 18k gold dial.

Technical Characteristics:

Case: 18k rose gold with a finely fluted caseband. Sapphire crystal caseback. Diameter = 41 mm. Rounded lugs welded to the case, screw-secured spring-bars. Water-resistant to 30 meters. Alligator leather strap.

Dial: Black-coated engine-turned 18k gold, off-centered at 7 o’clock. Individually numbered and signed. Chapter ring with Roman numerals. 60-second tourbillon at 1 o’clock. Polished steel “moon-tip” Breguet hands.

Movement: Numbered and signed Breguet. Cal. 569, hand-wound with tourbillon, anthracite coating. 16 lignes. 43 jewels. 50-hour power reserve with power-reserve indication on the barrel drum. Fusee-and-chain transmission to ensure constant torque throughout the running of the watch. Titanium upper bridge of the tourbillon carriage. Straight-line Swiss lever escapement. Breguet titanium balance with four gold adjustment screws. Breguet silicon balance spring, 2.5 Hz. Adjusted in six positions.

Variations: Also available with a gilt rose gold movement (Reference 7047BR/R9/9Z).
