The iconic watch brand just released brand new chronographs

TUDOR, the award-winning Swiss watch brand, released its first chronograph watch, the Oysterdate model, in 1970. Today, it’s celebrating more than five decades of chronographs by relaunching its Black Bay Chrono in steel and a brand new S&G — steel and gold — version.

The S&G chronograph is a true dive watch, and combines the brand’s aquatic heritage (i.e. its Black Bay collection) with the chronograph, the so-called ‘queen of the racetrack.’ This sporty-chic watch has a self-winding Manufacture Caliber and a 70-hour power reserve. This highly precise timepiece is certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute, and was designed with a column-wheel mechanism and vertical clutch.The watch comes in multiple styles, each with their own unique flare, but they all feature a 41mm steel case with a polished satin finish, a black dial with champagne-colored counters inspired by the 1950s diver’s watches, a fixed yellow gold bezel and yellow golf marking, a yellow gold crown and pusher and the date at 6 o’clock. The angular hands are known to collectors as ‘snowflake’ and pay homage to 1969 styles. And of course, it’s waterproof to 200m.

TUDOR Black Bay Chrono

This relaunched chronograph pays homage to motorsport and professional divers. By combining these two robust sports, it offers the best of all worlds: contrasting sub-counters and a high-performance automatic caliber. The ‘snowflake’ hands are made of grade A Swiss Super-LumiNova for premium luminescence. The Black Bay chronograph comes in three different bracelet designs in 41mm cases: black Jacquard fabric, black aged leather and riveted steel. While this watch is a take on an old classic, it offers up a few new features; including a domed dial for superior legibility, two hollowed sub-counters in contrasting colors and two different dials — matte black and opaline. It also has a 45-minute counter and a fixed bezel in stainless steel with a tachymetric scale insert in black anodized aluminum.

Τώρα απο που και ως που θεωρείται iconic η Tudor που οι επιρροές της στην ωρολογοποία είναι σχεδόν 0%..... δεν ξέρω
